Campaign to Launch The Greene School
In October 2009, The Greene School was awarded a highly competitive $615,355 planning grant from the US Department of Education, payable over three years. We also received $30,000 from the Rhode Island Foundation for assistance with school design.
While we are extremely excited to receive these grants, we still need to raise $250,000 to cover all the start up costs of the school, including:
- Developing a transportation system to ensure that any eligible RI student can attend
- Renting temporary space until our future building is completed
- Funding other critical operational costs not covered by the grants we’ve received
